More from CHA..and honesty.
Didn't take many pictures yesterday. But the ones i did take are of the cutest displays and inspiring ideas. See how the designer used a cupcake liner on her layout! So cute. I added more of these to the shop.
Honesty is Key:
I have to be honest, as hard as it is sometimes. CHA was somewhat painful for me because i'm going to stop offering kits and new items in my shop for a while. The Valentine Treat Cones kit and The Marie Antoinette kits are the last kits i will be offering on my site for a while. And also...overall...the shop will be somewhat bare in the scrapbooking/paper crafting/home decor department. I don't know how long my break will be for. Time will tell. As many of you know, this economy is not going easy on us starving artists and shop owners. The time has come for me to venture out and work full time and bring in the bacon. I am 25 and this may not be the time in my life when i can full time design for and operate my little boutique. I know that time will come and i hope it's sooner rather than later!
However, to keep my shop alive, i will be assisting my mom in selling her FAB jewelry! So Peacoats and Party Hats has a new department, as you will find here. And lucky you...there will be some new bracelets there in less than 24 hours!! I will also be constantly adding inspiration of my own and using my blog as a personal journal of a young, crafty girl who's trying to live life as colorfully as possible.
And i am so lucky to have the opportunities given to me by The Red Bee and Paris to the Moon...i hope to design and/or host a class every now and then...a perfect excuse to see you locals all on a somewhat regular basis!
I want to thank all of you who've supported me and my shop...online or at boutiques. You help make dreams come true. I will never forget that. Teary eyed and all...Thank you! I know i have a lot in my future and i am soooo thankful that i started Peacoats and Party Hats. It will never go away as long as i feel creative...Which i know is never-ending.

A Class at Paris to the Moon!
I am honored to announce the first ever class at Paris to the Moon in Costa Mesa, CA! Join me and the creative souls at Paris to the Moon on Sunday, February 8th. I will be guiding you through the creation of several 19th century valentines, all fit for a queen. Refreshments will be served...i hear rumors of mimosas...and a good time will be had by all! The store will be dazzling and the inspiration will be plenty!

New Tutorial: This 2nd new tutorial has been a long time coming. I started this waaay back in late November and had to finish it off with some photo editing and written instructions. If you purchased the Winter banner kit, here is the tutorial for making the mini crepe paper rosettes. Many of you coached through this in person. Or you're super savvy and figured it out. For those of you who have been waiting...my deepest apologies.
I am adding 2 more tutorial on Thursday. One of which will be the yarn pom pom tutorial for the Valentine Treat Cones! My favorite one!

This time with 3 famed teachers whom we all know too well...Teresa McFayden, Amy Hanna and Pam Garrison...and 3 great projects! Her first date has quickly sold out, but there are still a few valuable spots left in the second which is Sunday, March 22, 2009.

Just 2 weeks from now...
...we will be, once again, enjoying the company of 25-30 women at the final Marie Antoinette Workshop and Soiree. I am so eager to share this day with you all that signed up.
