Girlfriend's Weekend Class Project!

I am so excited that i get to share this with you all! This birthday banner was so fun and so quick to put together. This project features some of the brand NEW K&Company Berry Sweet and these fun Collage Press alphabet flash cards....along with a bunch of other lovlies. Not only will we be creating this fun banner, but there 4 other class projects included in this fun filled weekend! Go here for more info and pictures of the other projects!

I was able to gather enough supplies for a few more Easter Embellishments Kits this weekend. I realize now that i've announced the fab guest designer...Becky...well...you just may find yourself wishing you had purchased a kit at the opening! Well, no worries...but i will warn you there really are only a few...so if you really want one i'd scurry if i were you! :-)

Also, several spring/Easter items have been marked down by 20-30%! This includes the double faced satin easter icon ribbons, Spring greetings, various spring picks and the adorable Simon and Kit.

She's an Autumn Leaves designer and you can see some of her work here...She has a killer blog (here) where she showcases her amazing photography abilities...along with many more crafty goodness...She has an Etsy shop here...She's a Fashionista...not to mention a genuine, sweet person whom i've only had the pleasure of meeting once and was an absolute dear!

Well i'm super glad to announce that the FAB Becky Novacek will be our very first guest designer using the Easter Embellishment kit! Yay!! I was so excited when she agreed...i got a little light headed. :-) I can't wait to see what she does with it! I imagine that her creations will be lovely...vintage inspired...and full of class. Cause she's like that. Classy lady.

I will be sharing her work and a couple other inspirational samples made from the kit...all by April 6th. So keep an eye out for some dizzle dazzle in the Easter Emebellishment kit department.

First Guest Designer!

Golly...i have the best news ever to share! So, i plan on having a guest designer join us once in a while...have them show us the unlimited creativity and inspiration they have to share...and mostly just share how fab they are inside and out. SO, as many of you know, the Easter Embellishment Kit comes with inspiration from a surprise Guest Designer...a very special person who i have admired for years...a gal who knows her vintage goods...a person with such talent for combining colors and textures...basically she's the bomb diggity in the world of vintage inspired crafting...

I'm going to leave you with a few hints...and her identity will be announced on MONDAY 3/24!

3. Her work is featured in the newest issue of Scrapbooks etc magazine several times

...for those of you who are the curious type. I am sooooooo excited about the next big website update. I'm loving the goods that have been arriving at my door daily...and it's sooooo hard not to just add them to the site right now. But, i know that we all need a little notice and it's fun to celebrate a bunch of new items at one time. SO, mark your calendars for April 1st! And no, i'm not playing an April Fools trick on you. I will be introducing a bunch of new items...Spring has come alive here but now i've introduced some brighter colors...kind of a nice segway into the summer brights. And i just love bright colors...not much into pastels myself. So...that's all for now. Just a little warning of sorts. (take a peek at the luscious velvet ribbon pictured...soon to be for sale...nice at thick and substantial...YUM)

And, i've gotten one email from an anxious Easter embellisher...those of you 10 that were the first to order...you all won a free limited edition easter embelli kit. You are probably starting to receive your orders today and may notice the free kit is not in your box. Those all shipped today in a separate envelope. I just needed a little more time to get those all put together. So you have to be patient!! They are on the way...waiting to be created with...

I'm off to enjoy a VERY productive Saturday...2 top secret kits in the works...lots of organizing to do...lots of cleaning to do...lots of laughing to do...

Speaking of strawberry pin coushins...

...take a look at this one! This AMAZING strawberry pin cushion was a gift to me...handmade by the FAB Kim Henkel. It just doesn't get sweeter than this. She surprised me with it at CHA and i feel in love with it. So appropriate for my pink room...and i'm ALWAYS loosing needles and pins...i go through them like paper towels or something. So this gift was just perfect! Thank you so much Kim! I LOVE IT!! Now when are you going to start selling them...? :-) Just look at her handwriting! So so cute.

I am such a busy girl today. I have orders stacked in columns in the hallway as tall as me! And i'm a pretty tall gal...almost 6 feet with shoes on. A lot of people are so surprised when they meet me...;"oh you're so tall!". Hee hee. Anyways, i need to go to my trainer now and then i'm coming back home to watch the entire 3rd season of Will and Grace while i process, process, process...and process some more. Love today. Gonna be a good one for sure.

Oh yeah! LOL i almost totally forgot to post the winner of the Easter Banner kit! Kind of important right?!!!

My husband and i had a lot of fun deciding the winner. Rory picked 2 numbers...we matched those numbers to the corresponding commenters...then i represented one person and he represented the other...and we had a rock paper scissors war! He won. Or rather Rachel won! It was fun calling him Rachel for a few minutes. We had a little cat fight too...i'm a sore looser.

Flea Market Finds and Blog Giveaway

Today was such a great day! I found soooooo much awesome stuff. Your vintage vibes that you sent were reeeaaalllly strong. Look at this stuff!! And there's a bunch more where this came from...most of it for future kits so you'll just have to be patient. I will tell you that those yummy vintage strawberry pin cushions (supposedly made in 1949) are going to be part of a special kit that will be available shortly. Just need a few more items to add...
